CNC Machine

My late father and I built this CNC machine. I designed the PCB for the motor control unit and wrote some software in Javascript which generates G-Code for certain things.

The machine is rack-and-pinion with an Acme screw for the Z-axis.

The motor controller uses L297/L298 chips. The L298's run hot, hence the large block of aluminum for a heatsink.
